Project process

What happens in the conference consultation?

Possible course of an interpreting project with simultaneous or consecutive interpreters

  • Contact by customer
  • Consultant interpreter prepares the most accurate needs analysis possible and advises the client on the requirements of the online, hybrid or face-to-face event.
  • If necessary, clarify further questions with technical companies, event companies, etc.
  • Preparation of an offer after the interpreting team has been put together from simultaneous interpreters or consecutive interpreters (after the conference interpreters have been optioned)
  • Offer review or further agreements if necessary
  • Acceptance of offer or conclusion of contract and subsequent commissioning of the interpreting team and/or conference equipment by the consultant interpreter
  • Further agreements, more detailed planning
  • Transmission of preparatory materials to the conference interpreters via the consultant interpreter (preparation for the interpreting assignment is based on such information and further research by the interpreters)
  • Regular contact between the consultant interpreter and the client – for the purpose of further planning and organization.

Goal: An all-round successful event with smooth, loss-free communication. Scheduling: The supply of professional conference interpreters is limited and bottlenecks can occur during conference-intensive months. It is therefore advisable to plan well in advance in order to be able to book the conference interpreters best suited to the assignment in terms of language and expertise.
